Safety is the foundation of every mile Atlas Transportation drives. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of driver qualification, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance so our customers can trust every load — every time.
Driver Qualification
Every Atlas driver meets or exceeds FMCSA qualification requirements. We verify CDL credentials, medical certification, motor vehicle records, and prior employment history before a driver ever turns a key.
Ongoing Training
Drivers complete recurring training on defensive driving, hours-of-service rules, hazard awareness, load securement, and customer-site protocols. Safety is a continuous investment, not a one-time orientation.
Equipment & Maintenance
Our fleet follows a preventive maintenance schedule with documented pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Tractors and trailers are serviced on a defined interval to keep DOT-inspection-ready equipment on the road.
Regulatory Compliance
Atlas operates in full compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), including ELD hours-of-service tracking, DOT drug and alcohol testing, and CSA program requirements.
Site & Cargo Safety
We follow customer site safety plans, PPE requirements, and cargo-specific handling procedures. Our drivers are trained to work safely inside plants, terminals, yards, and job sites.
Insurance Coverage
Atlas maintains commercial auto liability, cargo, and workers' compensation coverage that meets or exceeds industry and customer requirements. Certificates of insurance are available on request.
